Hiring a color consultant

Unless you have a background in design or you’re naturally talented in putting colors together, you may need to enlist help with a color consultant. No worries, you’re not alone, this is where I will help you as your personal color stylist.

As your color consultant, I listen carefully to what you are trying to achieve with your new paint color and we will work together to come up with the best color palette for your space. For an interior, I take into consideration your hard surfaces, textiles, furniture, style and the light factor to come up with the perfect colors. As for the exterior, I will also consider much of the same.

As you read in my testimonials, I make every effort to understand the customer’s vision of how they’d like their space to feel and look with a new paint color.

Services

One flat fee of $150. This is for a 90 minute in-person color consultation of either an interior or exterior up to 3000 sq. ft.

I am based in Lake Oswego and cover most of Portland and surrounding areas but may have a small additional fee for those outlying areas. I accept cash, check, Venmo and Zelle.

As a Color Consultant, I have worked with over a thousand customers throughout the greater Portland area to come up with the perfect color palette. My expert color advice includes interior and exteriors of single family homes, townhomes, condominiums, multi-family buildings and businesses. This includes the wide range of contemporary to historic homes and everything in between.

My experience comes from working for a well known paint company as their personal color consultant, owning a Staging business for 10 years and having lived in various parts of the world which has only enhanced my perspective to understand and appreciate design and color. I have the natural ability to incorporate color tastefully into your home or business. I can see the big picture and have the vision to understand color and how it will appear in your space.

Give me a ring, text or email and once we’ve established the scope of your project, we will schedule a time for me to come out. I will spend up to 90 minutes with you at your home or business for either an interior or exterior color consultation.

I have my personal color box in hand and will leave you with a small sample of the colors we’ve selected along with a hard copy for you to give to your painter and keep for future records. I’ll explain the process and how different paints and sheens work in your space so you can feel more comfortable having that conversation with your painter.
